Ingredients
Linseed extract, almond kernel extract, madder root (Rubia cordifolia), turmeric root extract, sesame seed extract, amla fruit extract (Emblica officinalis), coating (E 1206), stabiliser (E 1201)
FLAX SEEDS (Atasi): Flax seeds are extremely high in fibre and contain important mucilages that promote digestion and balance the intestinal flora. They also help your body eliminate toxins. Flax seeds also contain a valuable mix of magnesium, iron, and zinc, as well as vitamins B1, B6 and E and several unsaturated fatty acids, particularly linoleic and linolenic acid. These omega-3 and -6 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects, are important for your metabolism and contribute to a healthy immune system.
ALMONDS (Vadama): Almonds have a pre-biotic effect, which means that they supply food to the intestinal bacteria that support our immune system and therefore our health. They are also rich in vitamins – most notably vitamin E, which is the most important skin vitamin amongst all the vitamins. In fact, vitamin E is a collective term for what are known as tocopherols, which are capable of protecting your skin from free radicals, regenerate damage to the skin barrier and regulate the moisture content of the horny layer.Vitamin B1 also strengthens the nerves while vitamin B2 supports the energy metabolism of the cells.
INDIAN MADDER (Manjistha): In addition to numerous healthy fruit acids and fibre, madder root contains a large number of tannins that have a gentle detoxifying and antibacterial effect. They also help to give you a healthy skin and a radiant complexion. In Ayurveda, madder root is considered one of the strongest blood-purifying plants. It also promotes and regulates the work of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for fighting toxins and pathogens throughout the organism.
TURMERIC (Haridra): Turmeric root is one of the most important Ayurvedic medicinal plants. The original name “Haridra” comes from the Sanskrit and basically means “skin elixir”, because turmeric is one of the strongest natural antioxidants and also regulates cell renewal and fat production in the epidermis. The root is preferably used for irritated skin that is prone to inflammation, because the curcumin contained in it is anti-inflammatory, binds free radicals and has a protective function. The moisturising effect also improves the elasticity of your skin.
SESAME SEEDS (Tila): Sesame is rich in phytochemicals and essential amino acids, and is one of the most selenium-rich foods that you can find.Selenium is a trace element with a strong antioxidant and detoxifying effect that strengthens the immune system and protects cell membranes. The sesame oil content is very high, similar to flax seeds, and is largely made up of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, which are highly effective against inflammation.Sesame also contains a diverse vitamin B complex (incl. niacin, folic acid and riboflavin) as well as vitamin E.These vitamins support the regeneration of your skin, protect against free radicals and prevent premature ageing of the cells. Copper is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capabilities and helps relieve rheumatic swelling and pain from arthritis.
AMLA FRUIT (Amalaki): Amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry, has the highest antioxidant content amongst all known fruits and vegetables, including ascorbic acid (vitamin C), ellagic acid and gallic acid. Its high carotene, riboflavin, iron and calcium content is also of value. It is considered to be a true means of rejuvenating the immune system, skin, hair and organs.Amla not only helps neutralise free radicals and boost the immune system, it also has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also called 'King's Fruit' or 'fruit of eternal youth and beauty' because of these valuable properties. In Ayurveda, it is used particularly frequently to treat autoimmune diseases.
